Inclined-attachment wheelchair lift lifting platform is classified into two types based on their operating direction: curved and straight. Straight lifts typically use a rack and pinion drive mechanism, ascending and descending along the stairs. They can only travel in a straight line and cannot turn, with an inclination angle generally not exceeding 35 degrees. They are suitable for lower floors and straight staircases without intermediate horizontal sections. Curved lifts use a rope-ball-chain transmission, allowing not only ascent and descent but also horizontal, turning, and spiral travel, making them more widely applicable.
