Notes on Operation of Articulated Boom Lift

Pre-operation Inspection

Operators must receive professional training and be familiar with equipment operation. Untrained personnel are forbidden to operate.

Inspect the whole unit: check boom, slewing mechanism, chassis, tires, hydraulic hoses and cables for damage or oil leakage.

Test emergency stop, lifting/lowering, slewing, luffing, tilt alarm and limit devices to ensure sensitivity and reliability.

Check the battery level or fuel level and hydraulic oil level of the articulated boom lift, and confirm that the equipment is in normal condition.

Clear work site, keep away from high‑voltage power lines and obstacles. Set warning zone and keep unauthorized persons

Ground shall be firm and level. Lay support plates on soft ground. Do not perform lifting operation on slopes.

Operation Rules

No overload or eccentric load. Total weight of personnel and tools shall not exceed rated load on nameplate; load shall be evenly distributed.

Wear safety helmet and harness for aerial work on articulated boom lift. Attach harness hook only to platform dedicated anchorage points. Never hook onto boom or guardrail.

Prohibited Operations

Never disassemble, disable or modify safety components including guardrails, limit devices, tilt alarms and relief valves on articulated boom lift.

Never use boxes or ladders on articulated boom lift for heightening operation. Do not climb over guardrail.

Do not carry out maintenance with power on. Repairs shall be performed by qualified technicians.

After Operation

Fully stow the boom, lower the platform and park on flat and safe ground.

Turn off main power, press E-stop, remove key. Recharge battery or refuel timely.

Clear debris on platform, inspect unit for damage and leakage, record equipment faults in time.

Store equipment in dry and ventilated place, avoid direct sunlight and rain exposure.

Emergency Handling

When tilt alarm is activated, stop all movements immediately, retract boom slowly and move machine to level ground.

If equipment fails and locks up, press emergency stop. Keep calm and wait for professional rescue. Do not climb or jump off by yourself.https://www.andalifting.com/
